Toyota Hiace Campervan Conversions on the Gold Coast

We build a Toyota HiAce campervan conversion on the Gold Coast from the Oxenford workshop. You bring the van; we do a HiAce 200 Series fitout — kitchen, bed, solar, water and a HiAce pop top conversion. Most shells we see are KDH206 / 200 Series, short or long wheelbase. Three made-to-order layouts sit on the site: Super Singles, an east-west bed, and a 5 seater family HiAce. Prices are $44,999, $47,999 and $49,999 excluding the van.

A typical job is about five weeks once the van is booked in. Clients from the Sunshine Coast and Coffs Harbour drop the van at Oxenford. We also do HiAce 4WD and AWD conversions — reviews already show AWD vans through here. That is work we take on, not a stock listing.

The three listed layouts

These are the only set prices we publish. All three exclude the van. Every listed HiAce fitout includes a pop-top roof.

The spec list sits on each product page. Layout photos are in the showroom. Current fitouts are in the campervan collection. If you need a layout that is not one of those three, we also do custom fitouts.

FAQ

What is the best van to convert in Australia?

For the work we do, the HiAce is the van we convert most. Parts are easy to get, the shell is a useful size for Australian camping, and we already have three priced layouts for the 200 Series. It is the van this workshop is set up around.

HiAce vs Sprinter

A HiAce 200 Series is the listed product here. A Sprinter is a bigger, taller van and we treat it as custom work, quoted to the shell and the spec. Some people want the extra standing room; others want the HiAce size. We build both. Bring the van and we will tell you what fits.

Pop top vs high roof

The three listed HiAce fitouts are pop-top conversions. The roof lifts for standing room in camp and stays low on the road. A high-roof van is a different shell — standing room all the time, more height in carparks and under trees. If your van is already a high roof, ask us and we will quote that shell. A sleeper flare / roof extension is the side bulge on the east-west layouts, not a wheel-arch flare.

East-west vs north-south

East-west sleeps across the van and usually needs a side sleeper flare. North-south (Super Singles) sleeps along the van — two singles that convert to a double. Pick the bed first, then the rest of the layout follows.

DIY vs professional

DIY is cheaper and slower. A workshop build is quoted, timed (about five weeks here), and covered by our 1-year build warranty. We do not publish other prices.

Off-grid power

The listed HiAce fitouts spec 185 W Victron solar and a 100 Ah lithium battery. That is the off-grid starting point we already fit. Ask if you want more.

Warranty and the workshop

Every fitout has a 1-year manufacturer warranty on the build. It covers our workmanship and the parts we supply and install. It does not cover damage you cause, or work done without our consent. Australian Consumer Law still applies.
